1. Because your ticket purchase is a political contribution, requirements differ from normal purchases. Your basic information is collected during the registration or check-out process. Once you have provided this information, you will not have to enter it again for additional transactions.
2. You may pay by PAYPAL or by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express (Credit or Debit). Although all payments are processed through PayPal, you don't need a PayPal account if you are paying by Debit or Credit card. Paying via PayPal is fast, safe, and easy for everyone, PLUS your financial information is not shared with us. Should you wish to open a PayPay account, you may choose PayPal's free express enrollment during the check-out process.
3. For accounting reasons, only ONE ticket may be purchased in ONE order. However, you may place as many orders as you wish and disperse your tickets as you wish. The system stores your info so that multiple and repeat orders are fast and easy.
4. At the conclusion of each order, a NUMBERED TICKET/CONFIRMATION is sent to the email address that you provide. This email serves as ONE TICKET FOR ONE PERSON and must be presented for admission.
5. NAMES OF TICKET USERS are not recorded or used for admission purposes. For your own records, you may enter the name of the intended ticket user in the COMMENTS box during check-out; this information will then appear on your ticket - strictly for your own use.
If you do NOT wish to purchase your tickets online,
they may be purchased from a number of BCDA volunteers (as in the past).
WV REGULATIONS REGARDING POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS: As a Non-Federal Political Action Committee, we are required to report the full name of each person or group that contributes money and the amount to the WV Secretary of State. When a contribution comes in the form of a check or credit card charge on a joint account, the person signing the check or authorizing the charge is the contributor, unless the parties specifically tells us otherwise.
If the contribution is more than $50.00 ($50.01 and up), the contribution cannot be cash. The contribution may be made by check, money order, credit card, or electronic fund (PayPal) transfer. We cannot accept foreign currency.
If contributions received from an individual or committee relating to an election total more than $250.00 ($250.01 and up), the residence or mailing address of the individual or committee must be reported to the WV Secretary of State.
If the contributor is a person, we must also report what the contributor does to earn a living (occupation) and the individual's primary employer or business association, such as a company the contributor owns (business affiliation). If the contributor is a committee, we must report the committee's affiliation (the group with which the committee is associated, such as the corporation connected to a corporate PAC.)
The maximum allowed contribution to any political action committee which supports or opposes candidates is $1,000 for the primary election and $1,000 for the general election.
